CA Blogging Assignment 7
What Albert Einstein wanted to say in his statement seems like the evil of human nature and the danger of people using technologies. He mentions that human beings are crazy and misuse technologies like mad people use weapons. Technologies are like weapons and can be harmful to human beings when they are used mistakenly. That's why, once human beings whose nature is evil have them, some disastrous things can happen because they misunderstand their abilities and feel they can do everything. In fact, atomic bombs were used, and many people were killed in Japan. Moreover, much information have been stolen from the Internet, and many people have been affected by it. Thus, the evil of human nature makes people abuse technologies, and Einstein sounded an alarm bell in his statement.

The term "the law of unintended consequences" means the way that your unintended action causes something unexpected in the end. The consequences might be positive, negative, or neutral. There is a positive one that I can think of. The summer before last, I went to Canada just to study English; however, I met many people who inspired me to live my life as I really want to. Because of the experience, I was able to decided to transfer to ICU in order to study what I'm interested in. As this case shows, I learned an important thing, which was not the original purpose of going abroad, and it changed my life better as a result.

My topic for essay 2 is organ transplantation. I chose this topic because I've become interested in organ transplantation after I watched a movie called "Reposition Man" whose story is about organ trafficking. I believe organ transplantation is nessesary to be performed because many patients are dying due to the malfunction of their organs. However, there are some problems entailed by performing organ transportation. Therefore, my working thesis statement is "to perform organ transplantation appropriately and help many people in Japan, the Japanese government has to take action and solve some problems which arise from organ transplantation."

I think "enhanced" students are nice if everyone can choose to be one of them. Even thogh many people might deny "enhanced" ones because they seem to lose human nature and stop making efforts for improvement, I don't think human nature is respectful or making efforts is important. It's because I feel the real human nature is mean and twisted or people do not progress even though they say they're trying to. Also, "enhanced" students might be able to solve many problems which have been caused by "natural" people because "enhanced" ones can use time and learn many things efficiently. Therefore, to me, "enhanced" students are new humans who have the potential to change the world better in the future.

The modifications to the human genome currently being studied and experimented with will eventually change human nature. I think people will lose human nature by treating people just as "thigs"or "objects". For example, some people try to "make" ideal babies by controling genes. To me, it looks like people try to be like a god and manipulate human life. It's possible that it's going to be difficult to understand the value of life once people see others like that.
